Preparing for your stay at Treat Mental Health is an important step toward your healing journey. To ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for all patients, we have guidelines on what you should and should not bring to our facility. Below is a helpful list to assist you in packing.
We encourage you to bring personal essentials that support your well-being and daily comfort.
Clothing
Pack comfortable, season-appropriate clothing, including pajamas, socks, and shoes. Avoid clothing with offensive language or inappropriate imagery.
Personal Hygiene Products
Bring toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and skincare products. (Only non-alcoholic, non-aerosol items are allowed.)
Medications
Any prescribed medications must be in their original containers with proper labeling. Our medical team will review and store them as needed.
Identification & Insurance
Please bring a valid ID, insurance card, and any necessary paperwork related to your treatment.
Comfort Items
You may bring a small journal, a book, or other personal items that support your emotional well-being.
Items NOT Allowed
To maintain a safe and therapeutic space for all patients, the following items are strictly prohibited:
Weapons & Sharp Objects
Any item that could pose a risk to yourself or others, including knives, scissors, or razors.
Drugs & Alcohol
Any form of alcohol, illicit substances, or non-approved prescription medications.
Aerosol Products & Alcohol-Based Toiletries
This includes hairspray, nail polish remover, and certain perfumes.
Valuables & Large Amounts of Cash
We recommend leaving expensive jewelry and large sums of money at home to prevent loss or theft.
Outside Food & Drinks
To ensure dietary consistency and safety, outside food and beverages are not permitted.
Offensive or Inappropriate Materials
Books, magazines, or clothing with offensive, violent, or triggering content.
